Hey Bestie, Hey!!! 

Do you ever feel like you don’t want to go to school? Because maybe people won’t play with you or you won’t have any friends, or things just feel...weird there? Sometimes, thinking about going to a new place, school, or even meeting new people makes it hard to sleep.

Has this ever happened to you? 

Have you ever asked your mom or dad, “Please don’t make me go there” because you just don’t know what’s going to happen?

 

Oh my goodness! I know how that feels! 

That’s anxiety and lots of people have these feelings.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a feeling that doesn’t feel good. Sometimes your heart beats really fast, sometimes your stomach hurts, and sometimes you just worry and worry and worry and worry and worry and worry about what’s going to happen. 


Okay, take a deep breath with me!


The thing about anxiety is that it’s a feeling we usually get when we don’t know what’s going to happen...so we get a little scared about things.

 

Here are some ways I kick Anxiety’s Butt:

 

1. Talk to yourself in the mirror!

One of my favorite ways of getting rid of Anxiety is by talking to myself in the mirror. Hey, don’t laugh! It really works! I tell myself that I’m absolutely amazing and that I’m going to have the best day ever! I also tell myself that if someone doesn’t want to play with me, then they are missing out because I am a superstar, baby!!  

2. Jump up and down and dance!!

Calming our bodies helps us to feel calm, too!

Today's Mission:

Dear Bestie, Today’s mission is to stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself how awesome you are! AND SAY IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT! Don’t just whisper it! Imagine you’re on the biggest stage ever and one million people are cheering you on!! Woooo hooo!!!!

 

You’re amazing! There is no one on this planet who is exactly like you, so we NEED you here!!
