Hey Bestie Hey!!!

How did you sleep last night? I hope you had magical dreams! Do you ever remember your dreams? Sometimes I remember my dreams, but I usually forget them!

Let’s make today a great day! 

Have you heard of Dr. Maya Angelou?  She is not alive anymore, but she was an amazing writer and poet.

She was also a very close friend to Oprah Winfrey!

Today, my dad told me something that Dr. Maya Angelou said long ago. He also said that many famous people like to follow what she said. It’s “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Wow! I love this message! Do you understand what it means? It means that if someone helps us to feel happy, then we will remember that feeling. We can forget words. We can forget things. But, our hearts will always remember our feelings.

So, we should really try to bring happiness to others’ lives!

At kidYOUniversity, we learned something called CONNECTION languages! There are FIVE connection languages and one of them is “Feeling Valued.”   When we help someone to feel valued, we teach them something new or we give them a chance to teach us something new. People feel valued when they feel important and like they are a leader or becoming a leader!

Today, I’m going to help my little sister to feel valued! I’m going to ask her what she would like me to teach her and I’m going to help her to do it.  Haha, I actually think I know what she’s going to want to learn from me!

She’s going to want to learn how to make slime!!!

That will be a lot of fun and it will be a way for me to help her to have a happy feeling to remember!
